4 star surf instructions at HOT WAX SURF CAMP
HOT WAX SURF CAMP, featured in the Wall Street Journal in July 08 and on CNN and Fox News, and the Boston Globe, look for our new articles in The Chicago Tribune & Guy Harvey Magazine in the spring of 2012. This is our twelfth year with 1000 students attend annually for the summer day programs. In the surf & SUP classes we currently offer private, group, and customizing of your own corporate, church, or athletic team, for action sports camps. Our water sports rentals provide even the most advanced watermen the equipment they need! Kayak fishing & Eco Kayak tours are also available. Our Stand up paddle board classes have been featured in the Sunday addition of the Boston Globe see link below.

Walking on the beach, we are 1/2 mile from the Western Regional Access (walk East down the beach to marker 8900 walk North-NE 1/4 mile to Hot Wax.

Cape Pointe Marina

Barbours Marina is located in Harkers Island. This marina has everything you need for an outdoor excursion. From boating to camping, you can find your supplies at Barbours. Boat slips can be rented by the month, or by the year. Access to the boat ramp is available for a small fee. The Ships Store sells necessities like live bait, gas & oil, snacks, and souvenirs. With a close proximity to the Cape Lookout National Seashore Barbours Marina offers Island Ferry Adventures to Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks, and Beaufort.

Dolphin Ridge Beach and Tennis Club

During your stay in Emerald Isle become a temporary member to Emerald Isle's only private beach and tennis club. Weekly membership are now available. Membership requires a 3-day waiting period - plan ahead and call 252-354-4159 now.

Relax at the Dolphin Ridge Beach and Tennis Club and enjoy the various amenities the Club has to offer including: a large 50' x 40' swimming pool, private beach access, shower and changing facilities, a convenient eatery, full ABC permits, tennis courts and a game room.

Only $300 per week for a family of four - that is less than $13 a day per person for a week of fun. Additional family members are just $100 per person and children under 1 are free.

No other discounts apply to this offer. A food and beverage deposit is required. Closed Tuesdays.

Bogue Banks Library

The Bogue Banks Public Library is open Monday - Saturday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Storytime is held Thursday mornings at 10:00 am for Preschoolers, and on every other Wednesday at 10:00 am for Toddlers. With a valid library card, students can get homework help from Learning Express, NCLive.org, Issues & Controversiers@Facts.com, Smart Squad, and the Library Catalog. The library also offers its visitors interlibrary loan service, internet access, and facsimile service.

North Carolina Maritime Museum

Other information about the museum can be obtained by visiting the website of the Friends of the North Carolina Maritime Museum at http://www.ncmm-friends.org. A Junior Sailing Program and a Summer Science School program are available for children ages 8 and older.
